Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Chengde Iron and Steel Co., a subsidiary of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, has announced that in April of the current year its rebar plant produced 50,293 mt of rebar, including precision rolled rebar, SAE1008B rebar, SG80 rebar and CG80 rebar. In the given month, the company's rebar exports were equivalent to 20.7 percent of its total rebar output for the month.
Meanwhile, another Hebei Steel Group subsidiary, Shijiazhuang Steel, has been named as a "qualified supplier" of steel for application in high-pressure cylinders by KYB Hydraulic Pressure Industrial (Zhenjiang) Co.. KYB Hydraulic Pressure Industrial (Zhenjiang) Co. is a subsidiary of Japan-based KYB Corporation, which is one of the world's largest suppliers of shock absorbers to vehicle manufacturers. KYB Corp. holds a share of over 40 percent of the international market for high-pressure cylinders.
