Centaurus announces delay in Jambreiro iron ore project commissioning

Australia-based iron ore company Centaurus Metals Limited has announced that it will commission its flagship Jambreiro iron ore project in Brazil in mid-2014 instead of at the end of 2013 as originally planned.

Centaurus said that it has revised the project timeline due to ongoing negotiations for product offtake with potential customers in the Brazilian domestic steel industry. The offtake agreements provided the opportunity to establish a life-of-mine contract for the iron ore concentrates to be produced at Jambreiro.
