Canadian rig count soars while US count barely chugs ahead

Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending November 21 the US rig count increased by one to 1,929 following a three-rig increase the week before. The gas rig count increased by five to 355, whereas the oil rig count decreased by four to 1,574. The overall rig count is up by 168 from 1,761 rigs during the same week a year ago.

Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by 32 in the week ending November 21 to reach 434 following an eight-rig decrease the previous week. The Canadian rig count is up by 66 from 368 rigs during the same week a year ago.
