Canada issues preliminary dumping duties for certain plate imports

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has announced its preliminary dumping decision within the scope of the antidumping (AD) duty investigation for hot rolled (HR) carbon steel plate imports from Brazil, Taiwan, Denmark, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, and South Korea.
 
The CBSA has set preliminary dumping margins ranging between 2.5 percent and 65.2 percent on hot rolled steel plate imports from the abovementioned seven countries.
 
The products subject to investigation currently fall under HS codes 7208.51.00.10, 7208.51.00.91, 7208.51.00.92, 7208.51.00.93, 7208.51.00.94, 7208.51.00.95, 7208.52.00.10, 7208.52.00.91, 7208.52.00.92, 7208.52.00.93, 7208.52.00.94 and 7208.52.00.95.
 
As SteelOrbis previously reported, Canada launched the antidumping duty investigation for hot rolled carbon steel plate from seven countries in September 2013 upon a complaint made by Essar Steel Algoma Inc., of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
