CAAM: Chinese auto output up 13.6 percent in January-October

According to the latest data issued by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on November 11, in the January-October period of the current year China's automotive vehicle output and total automotive vehicle sales in its domestic market amounted to 17.8544 million units and 17.8158 million units, up 13.6 percent and 13.5 percent respectively, both on year-on-year basis. Meanwhile, total output and sales of passenger cars in China in the given period reached 14.5189 million units and 14.4551 million units, up 14.8 percent and 15 percent respectively, both year on year. Additionally, also in the given period, commercial vehicle output and sales in China amounted to 3.3355 million units and 3.3607 million units respectively, increasing by 8.6 percent and 7.4 percent year on year.

In October alone, Chinese automotive vehicle output amounted to 1.916 million units, down 0.6 percent month on month but up 20.7 percent year on year, while auto sales in China totaled 1.9326 million units, down 0.2 percent month on month but up 20.3 percent year on year.

According to China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), in January-September of the current year China's import and export volumes of automotive vehicles amounted to 846,200 units and 713,300 units respectively, down 6.1 percent and 7.2 percent year on year.
