CAAM: China’s passenger vehicle output up 4.2 percent in January-April

In April this year, the output and sales volumes of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 1.783 million units and 1.722 million units, down 18.5 percent and 17.8 percent month on month, while decreasing by 3.3 percent and 3.7 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
 
In the January-April period of the current year, the output and sales volumes of passenger vehicles in China totaled 7.89 million units and 7.67 million units, up 4.2 percent and 2.5 percent year on year, respectively.
