CAAM: China’s passenger vehicle output up 3.2 percent in H1

In June this year, the output of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 1.845 million units, rising by 5.6 percent month on month, while sales volumes totaled 1.832 million units, up 4.6 percent month on month, while increasing by 3.7 percent and 2.3 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). In the January-June period of the current year, the output of passenger vehicles in China totaled 11.483 million units, rising by 3.2 percent, while sales of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 11.253 million units, up 1.6 percent, both year on year.  

As for commercial vehicles, the domestic output volume in June amounted to 323,000 units, decreasing by 4.9 percent month on month, while sales came to 340,000 units, down 1.4 percent month on month, while increasing by 16.4 percent and 18.4 percent year on year, respectively. In the January-June period of the current year, domestic output of commercial vehicles totaled 2.043 million units, up 13.8 percent, with sales amounting to 2.101 million units, rising by 17.4 percent, both year on year.
