CAAM: China’s passenger vehicle output up 15.3 percent in Jan-Oct

In October this year, the output and sales volumes of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 2.287 million units and 2.344 million units, up 2.5 percent and 3.3 percent month on month, while rising by 19.8 percent and 20.3 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). In the January-October period of the current year, the output and sales volumes of passenger vehicles in China totaled 19.105 million units and 19.096 million units, up 15.3 percent and 15.4 percent year on year, respectively. 
 
As for commercial vehicles, domestic output and sales volumes in October amounted to 299,000 units and 306,000 units, remaining stable and rising by 3.4 percent month on month, while increasing by 3.5 percent and 7.4 percent year on year, respectively. In the January-October period of the current year, domestic output and sales of commercial vehicles totaled 2.911 million units and 2.921 million units, up 4.9 percent and 4.6 percent year on year, respectively.
