In March this year, production and sales of automotive vehicles in China amounted to 2.2836 million units and 2.2406 million units, up 39.9 percent and 40.6 percent month on month, while increasing by 3.7 percent and 3.3 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on April 9.
In the first quarter of the current year, production and sales of automotive vehicles in China amounted to 6.2016 million units and 6.1530 million units, up 5.3 percent and 3.9 percent year on year, with these growth rates down 3.9 and 5.3 percentage points, respectively, compared to the first quarter of 2014.
