In April this year, production and sales of automotive vehicles in China amounted to 2.0797 million units and 1.9945 million units, down 8.9 percent and 11 percent month on month, while increasing by 0.6 percent and declining by 0.5 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on May 11.
In the first four months of the current year, production and sales of automotive vehicles in China amounted to 8.2808 million units and 8.1448 million units, up 4.1 percent and 2.8 percent year on year, with these growth rates down 4.9 and 6.3 percentage points, respectively, compared to the first four months of 2014.
