Buritirama to open sintering manganese plant in Brazil

Brazilian manganese producer Buritirama plans to open a new manganese sintering plant in the city of Maraba, located in the state of Para, according to media reports.

The company’s legal director, Endrigo Perteffi, announced the company’s plans to the state of Para, which said it would back the project. The proposed sintering manganese plant would generate 400 jobs. Construction should last 16 months.

Buritirama produces about 150,000 mt per year of manganese.
