British construction output down 2.8 percent in Feb from Jan

In February this year, the output volume of Great Britain's construction industry increased by 2.8 percent year on year and decreased by 2.8 percent compared to January recording the strongest fall since November last year, according to a report released by the UK-based Office for National Statistics (ONS). The reasons for the month-on-month decline were adverse weather conditions, such as strong winds, heavy rain and significant weather impacts including extensive flooding.
 
In the given month, new works in the British construction industry increased by 3.1 percent year on year and decreased by 2.6 percent month on month, while repair and maintenance work increased by 2.3 percent year on year and fell by 3.1 percent month on month.
