British construction output down 0.6 percent in October from September

In October this year, the output volume of Great Britain's construction industry decreased 0.6 percent month on month and rose by 0.7 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to a report released by the UK-based Office for National Statistics (ONS). In October, new work was down by 0.9 percent, while repair and maintenance remained stable, both month on month.
 
Construction output in Great Britain in the August-October period of this year is estimated to have increased by 1.7 percent year on year, and was down by 0.6 percent compared to the previous quarter. In the August-October period of this year, new work was up by 0.1 percent, while repair and maintenance recorded a decrease of 1.9 percent, both on quarter-on-quarter basis.
