British construction output down 0.3 percent in February from January

In February this year, the output volume of Great Britain's construction industry decreased by 0.3 percent month on month and increased by 0.3 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to a report released by the UK-based Office for National Statistics (ONS). In February, new work fell by 0.2 percent, while repair and maintenance decreased by 0.5 percent, both month on month.
 
Construction output in Great Britain in the December 2015-February 2016 period is estimated to have increased by 0.3 percent year on year, and was up by 1.5 compared to the September-November period of last year. In the December-February period, new work was up by 2.5 percent, while repair and maintenance recorded a decrease of 0.3 percent, both compared to the previous quarter.
