Brazil's iron ore export volume amounted to 27.7 million mt in September, rising 0.5 percent compared to August this year and down by 7.9 percent compared to the same month of 2011, according to the information released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. Brazil's iron ore export value in September this year fell 11.8 percent compared to the previous month and fell by 40.4 percent compared to the same month of 2011, totaling $2.4 billion.
In September of the current year, Brazil's export volume of semi-finished products of iron and steel amounted to 475,563 mt, increasing 2.9 percent compared to the previous month and down 18.7 percent compared to the same month of 2011, while these exports were valued at $270.2 million, decreasing 2.8 percent compared to August and down 27.4 percent year on year.
