Brazil's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) in April this year decreased by 18.8 percent from the previous month and rose by 11.4 percent year on year to 191,069 units, according to the Brazilian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea). Meanwhile, in the January-April period of this year, the country's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) grew by 20.9 percent year on year to 801,600 units.
New motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) in Brazil totaled 156,894 units in April this year, down 17.1 percent compared to March and decreasing by 3.7 percent year on year. In the first four months, the country's new motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) decreased by 2.4 percent year on year to 628,929 units.
Meanwhile, Brazil's motor vehicle exports in April this year (excluding agricultural vehicles) totaled 58,753 units, decreasing by 14.2 percent compared to the previous month and up 48.1 percent year on year. In the January-April period of this year, Brazil's motor vehicle exports totaled 232,192 units, up 64.2 percent year on year.
