Brazil's iron ore export volume amounted to 28.12 million mt in November this year, decreasing by 18 percent compared to October and up 7.87 percent compared to the same month of 2014, according to the information released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. Brazil's iron ore export value in November totaled $900 million, decreasing by 20.7 percent compared to the previous month and down 43 percent year on year.
In November, Brazil's export volume of semi-finished products of iron and steel amounted to 488,100 mt, decreasing 31.2 percent compared to the previous month and down 14 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, while these exports were valued at $134.6 million, decreasing by 38.6 percent compared to October and down 52.8 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in November Brazil's flat steel exports totaled 322,400 metric tons, falling by eight percent from October and up 11.9 percent year on year. The revenue generated by these exports totaled $137.6 million, declining by 19.3 percent month on month and down 26.8 percent from the November 2014 level.
