iron ore export volume amounted to 33.08 million mt in September this year, increasing by 17.04 percent compared to August and up 14 percent compared to the same month of 2013, according to the information released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.

iron ore export value in September totaled $2.23 billion, increasing by 16.67 percent compared to the previous month and up 20.19 percent year on year.

Brazil's export volume of semi-finished products of iron and steel amounted to 817,185 mt, increasing by 53.71 percent compared to the previous month and up 88.3 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, while these exports were valued at $408.6 million, increasing 49.34 percent compared to August and up 93.83 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in September
Brazil's flat steel exports totaled 240,726 metric tons, increasing 86.3 percent from August and up 124.14 percent year on year. The revenue generated by these exports totaled $167.2 million, increasing by 12.32 percent month on month and up 81.14 from the September 2013 level.
