Brazil’s industrial output unchanged in August from July

On October 2, Brazil's national statistics agency (IBGE) reported that industrial production in the largest Latin American country remained unchanged in August compared to July, but was down 1.2 percent from August 2012. In July this year, industrial output in Brazil had decreased by 2.4 percent as compared to June.
 
For the first eight months of 2013, industrial production in Brazil was 1.6 percent higher compared to the corresponding period of 2012.
