Brazil's export volume of semi-finished products of iron and steel amounted to 601,800 mt, increasing 28.4 percent compared to the previous month and down 7.1 percent compared to the same month of 2011, while these exports were valued at $298.2 million, increasing by 25 percent compared to December 2012 and down 24 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in January
Brazil's flat steel exports totaled 209,500 metric tons, double year on year and up slightly by 0.4 percent from December. The revenue generated by these exports in January totaled $143.3 million, down five percent month on month and up 46.5 percent over the January 2012 level.
