Brazil’s CSP exports 2 million mt of slab

Vale’s co-owned slab producer Companhia Siderurgica do Pecem (CSP) reached a new milestone in July by exporting 2 million mt of slab through the local port of Pecem since the launch of operations, according to the Ceara state port authority, Ceara Portos.

CSP’s slab exports were sent to over 10 countries, including the US (37.5 percent), Turkey (16.6 percent), South Korea (9.47 percent), Italy (9.16 percent), and Thailand (7.94 percent).

CSP is co-owned by Vale (50 percent), Dongkuk (30 percent), and Posco (20 percent).
