The Brazilian Mining Institute (IBRAM) has stated that, with the increasing investment in the Brazilian mining industry, domestic iron ore output may increase by 100 percent and domestic copper ore output by 200 percent by 2015.
Accordingly, IBRAM expects Brazilian domestic iron ore output will increase from 372 million mt in 2010 to 772 million mt in 2015, which is much more than expected 585 million mt of 2015.
IBRAM also expects Brazilian domestic iron ore output to increase to 400-410 million mt in 2011.
