Brazilian civil construction jobs increase in the first half of the year

The number of jobs in Brazil’s civil construction segment increased 0.94 percent in the first half of 2014, Sao Paulo state union SindusCon-SP said on Monday.

According to the union, Brazil’s job balance was positive at 32,700 jobs.

In June, the job index fell 0.36 percent month on month, as the segment lost 12,500 positions.

On a year-on-year basis, the level of jobs also is stable, with a 0.03 percent decrease from 3.5 million jobs in June 2013.
