Brazilian civil construction cost increases in March

The cost of civil construction in Brazil increased 0.23 percent in March to BRL 918.95 per square meter, according to data released on Thursday by the nation’s institute of geography and statistics, IBGE.

Out of this total, BRL 500.16 accounted for materials and BRL 418.79 to workforce. In February, the cost of civil construction in Brazil was BRL 916.85, IBGE said.

In the cumulative period of January and March, the Sinapi index increased 0.62 percent.
