Brazilian civil construction activity rose to 44.1 points in May this year from 40.1 points in May 2016, in a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 show growth, according to the country’s confederation of industries, CNI.
On a month-to-month basis, local civil construction activity in May rose from 43.3 points in April.
The utilization of the industry’s capacity in May declined to 55 percent, from 56 percent in May 2016, and 56 percent in April this year.
The indicator that measures the number of job positions in the segment improved to 42.7 points in May this year, from 38.1 points in May 2016, and from 42.3 points in April this year.
