Brazil increases its flat steel exports in May

According to the statistics provided by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, in May this year Brazil's flat rolled steel exports totaled 236,770 metric tons, more than double compared to the previous month and up 34 percent year on year.

The revenue generated by these exports in May this year totaled $204.7 million, up 19.2 percent from the May 2011 level and up 80.8 percent month on month.
