The Brazilian government decided to end an anti-circumvention probe into Chinese heavy plate imports and instead add the heavy plate containing titanium into an existing anti-dumping (AD) duty.

The existing AD duty involves Chinese imports of low-carbon and low-alloy finished flat steel, from both conventional or continuous casting, made through conventional or controlled rolling processes, heat treatment, with a thickness equal to or higher than 4.75 mm, and with a width larger or equal to 600 mm.

The Brazilian government said Chinese heavy plate imports with a 0.05 percent titanium content or higher are now subject to the existing AD duties, and will be subject to a $211.56/mt tariff.

The product currently falls under the 7225.40.90 HTS code.
