Borusan Mannesman purchases spiral welded lines

Turkey's largest steel pipe and tube producer Borusan Mannesmann Boru has signed an agreement with Europipe France S.A. regarding the purchase of two spiral welded pipe production line. The production lines, which will cost Euro 5 million, will increase the spiral welded pipe production by 100.000 tons to 200.000 tons per annum. After the production lines step in operation, Borusan will largely focus on the export markets, such as Spain, Iran, Jordan and Portugal. Borusan Mannesmann Boru General Manager Tayfun Iseri said “Borusan Mannesmann Boru has a serious specialized experience and quality in producing pipe. This allows us an advantage in pipe line projects. Spiral pipes have a significant potential in overseas markets. Therefore, we decided to increase our capacity in this product segment in an effort to evaluate this high profitability potential.”
