BMZ suspends construction of steel project

Belarus-based Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) has stated that it has suspended construction of its new steel rolling mill. The planned annual output capacity of the mill was 600,000 mt of hot rolled flat steel. The total volume of investment was estimated at around $650-700 million.

BMZ has stated that it plans to concentrate on construction of its new section mill as well as on increasing its crude steel production to to 3 million mt by 2015.
