Byelorussian Iron and Steel Works (BMZ) has announced that it has started reconstruction works at its section rolling shop, which will include the installation of a second packing line and the capital repairs of its light-section mill 320.

Accordingly, the installation of the new second packing line and the pre-commissioning preparations are scheduled to be completed by autumn 2010. By this date, BMZ's light-section mill 320, specialized in the production of rebar, angles, channels, hexagon and square bars, and strips, will be stopped for repairs.

BMZ's existing packing line will continue to operate along with the new modern packing line.
