Bhushan orders new 500,000 mt specialty and engineering steel rolling mill

The Indian steelmaker Bhushan Power and Steel has placed an order with the Italian plantmaker Danieli for the construction of a new 500,000 mt capacity rolling mill for the production of specialty and engineering steel long products in Orissa.

Accordingly, Bhushan Power and Steel's new rolling mill will produce straight bars, coiled bar and wire rod in coils of special steel grades in a wide range. The product size range will include 16 mm to 90 mm diameter  SBQ round bars, 20 mm to 75 mm round-corner squares, 18 mm to 48 mm hexagons, 16 mm to 60 mm diameter coiled round bars, 5 to 22 mm diameter wire rod in coils weighing up to 2.9 mt.
