Bhilai Steel posts strong production figure

Steel Authority of India Limited's largest unit Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) has achieved a record hot metal production of 5 million metric tons during the current fiscal year ending March 31. The company announced that BSP recorded a historical level on 20th March 2006 by surpassing 5 million metric tons of hot metal production. “With exactly a week left for the end of the current fiscal year, the BSP is set to end up the year with a record hot metal production of 5.14 million metric tons” said the company.
