Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Benxi Iron and Steel Co. (
Benxi Steel) has announced that in the first quarter of the current year its hot rolled sheet and
plate (HRS and HRP) output reached 1.175 million mt.
Of this volume, 370,000 mt or 31.94 percent was exported, exceeding the targeted export volume by 17.59 percent.
