Steel for automotive application as per TS16949 standard produced by Liaoning Province-based Chinese steel producer Benxi Iron and Steel Corporation has been passed for approval by officials of German-based certification service provider TUV Rheinland after three days of tests.

The officials have decided to recommend the Benxi Steel automotive steel products in question for TUV certification to their company headquarters and to the International Auto Task Force (IATF).

The IATF is an ‘ad hoc' group of automotive manufacturers and their respective trade associations, formed to provide improved quality products to automotive customers worldwide.
