Benxi Steel announces December ex-factory prices for flats

SteelOrbis Shanghai On November 13, Benxi Steel announced that its ex-factory prices for flat rolled for December would remain constant at the price level of November. The details are as follows: 1. Hot rolled price remains unchanged. The ex-factory price of 3.0 mm Q235 hot rolled coil is still at RMB 3,450/mt ($439). 2. Cold rolled price remains unchanged. The ex-factory price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm Q195 cold rolled coil is still at RMB 4,040/mt ($514). 3. Galvanized coil price remains unchanged, with the ex-factory price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm ST01Z still at RMB 4,940/mt ($628). The above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective as of November 13, 2006. Heretofore, Angang had sharply hiked its ex-factory prices of hot rolled coils for December, but Benxi Steel did not follow its example, indicating that some steel mills are still cautious about the future.
