Bengang Rolling Plant starts construction on relocation project

Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Benxi Iron and Steel Group (Benxi Steel) has announced that its subsidiary Bengang Rolling Plant has started construction work on its relocation project. After the commissioning of the project, the plant's annual output capacity will increase to 15,000 mt, with a newly-added annual cold rolling steel output capacity of 3,000 mt.
 
The project is divided into three phases. Phase one involves the construction of a 150,000 square meter workshop with hot rolling and cold rolling production lines and related facilities. The first phase is expected to be commissioned by the end of 2013.
