Beltrame Group records €86.95 million net loss in 2009

Italian steel company Beltrame Group, leader in Europe in the production of merchant bars and steel structures, has issued its financial results for 2009.     

Accordingly, last year Beltrame's total sales reached 2.27 milion metric tons, down 28.5 percent year on year, while its turnover decreased by 55 percent year on year to €850.98 million. Beltrame's EBITDA in 2009 was -€37.36 million, compared to €189.12 million in 2008, leading to a net loss of €86.95 million in 2009, against a €55.26 million net profit in the previous year. Investments for the year amounted to €74.55 million, down €47 million year on year.
