Belarus ups steel output in Jan-Oct

In the first ten months of 2006, Belarus increased steel production by 9.1 percent year on year to 1.94 million metric tons. During the period in question, Belarus produced 1.84 million metric tons of finished steel products- up 10.5 percent, and 109,100 metric tons of steel pipes- up 25.7 percent, compared to the corresponding period of last year.
