Belarus raises steel output 13 percent in Q1

The Ministry of Statistic and Analyze of Belarus has reported that the metallurgical enterprises' steel rolled products output raised 13 percent year on year to 613,000 tons in the first quarter of 2006. The crude steel output increased 7.6 percent to 574,700 tons during the same period. The revenue from sales of the rolled steel products increased 11.8 percent year on year to Ruble 707.5 billion in the first quarter of 2006.
