According to data released by the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, in the first six months of the current year the value of metallurgical production in Belarus increased by 1.2 percent compared to the same period of last year to BYR 19.402 trillion ($2.3 billion) .
In particular, in the given period crude steel production in Belarus increased by 2.4 percent to 1.428 million mt, the output of rolled steel went up by four percent to 1.304 million mt, while production of steel pipes rose by four percent to 116,400 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
