Baotou Steel posts world’s highest steel rail output in 2009

In 2009, Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steel producer Baotou Steel boosted its steel rail output on the back of strong sales of steel rails. In the year in question, its steel rail production totaled 1.3 million mt, the highest steel rail output of any company worldwide.

The producer's high-speed steel rails, for speeds of 250 km/h, 350 km/h and 380 km/h have posted very strong sales, meeting demand within the scope of the development of China's rail system.
