Baotou Steel inks partnership agreement with China Railway Material Group

On July 27 in Beijing, Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel Co. (Baotou Steel) inked a strategic partnership agreement with China Railway Material Group Co., involving supply of steel rails.

As one of the major steel rail producers in China, Baotou Steel has a 30-year history of producing steel rails. Baotou Steel has currently two steel rail production lines with an overall annual production capacity of 1.5 million mt.

Following development of its production capabilities, Baosteel can now produce steel rails with top speeds in the range of 250-350 km/h.
