Baosteel to invest in construction of Huanghua logistics base

The government of the Chinese province of Hebei has announced that on April 17 Chinese steel producer Baosteel, Jizhong Energy Group International Logistics and Huarun Electricity signed an agreement to jointly invest in the construction of a logistics base at Huanghua port, Hebei.
 
The project is expected to cost a total of RMB 5 billion ($793.65 million), and will involve the construction of two 100,000 mt coal terminals, a 200,000 mt iron ore quay and stockyard facilities.
 
Last year, Baosteel also started to invest RMB 4 billon ($634.92 million) in the construction of berths at Huanghua port.
