Baosteel to supply 73,000 mt of steel for Hongqiao convention center

On June 19, major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel announced that up to the end of the current year it will supply 73,000 mt of high-quality structural steel for Hongqiao National Convention and Exhibition Center in Shanghai, constituting 68 percent of the total 108,000 mt of steel required for the project. Construction work on the project in question, which is located on a site of 85.6 hectares, is expected to be completed in June 2015. Upon completion, the center will have 530,000 square meters of exhibition space, including 100,000 square meters of outdoor space
