Baosteel sees slight decline in net profit in Q1

Shanghai-based Chinese steelmaker Baosteel has announced in its quarterly report that it has recorded an operating revenue of RMB 35.273 billion ($5.43 billion) for the first quarter of the current year, down 14.77 percent year on year, with a net profit of RMB 1.529 billion ($0.24 billion), down 1.2 percent year on year.
 
In the given period, Baosteel produced 6.266 million mt of pig iron, 6.533 million mt of crude steel and 5.616 million mt of finished steel.
