Chinese steel giant Baosteel Group has announced the commissioning of its new contract tracking system for thick plate transactions.

The system applies information technology such as bar codes and mobile data collection terminals with wireless internet connections. Customers can follow the booking, storage, logistics, delivery and settlement processes via the new system, which will greatly improve the efficiency and accuracy of information. Baosteel will use the system for thick plate contracts in the future.
