Baosteel issues Enterprise Development Scheme for 2010-2015

According to its newly-announced ‘Enterprise Development Scheme' for 2010-2015, during the period in question major Chinese steel producer Baosteel aims to boost its competitiveness and become a leading global steel enterprise by focusing on the adjustment of its industrial structure, the transition of its development modes and its leadership role in the steel industry.
Baosteel plans to achieve an annual steel production capacity of 50 million mt by 2012 and 66 million mt by 2015. The company also intends to participate actively in advantageous merger and restructuring activities.
While Baosteel will continue to focus on its development in the steel sector, at the same time it will also develop interests in engineering services, coal chemicals, finance, and other sectors.
