According to the agreement, both parties will set up a joint venture, controlled by MCC Baosteel Technology Services with premises covering an area of 90,000 square meters, which will include a converter slag processing line with an annual capacity of 2 million mt and one metal purification line with an annual capacity of 300,000 mt. The project is expected to be completed and to start operation by the first half of 2016. The joint venture will process Baosteel's steel slag, and help reduce its costs.
