Baosteel and Ansteel named as Chinese mills with most valuable brands

New York-based brand research institution World Brand Lab has released its list of China's 500 most valuable brands for 2012, based on analysis of finance, consumer behavior and brand strength.

Shanghai-based Chinese steel giant Baosteel ranked first on the list among Chinese steel producers, in 18th place overall. Meanwhile, Liaoning-based domestic steelmaker Ansteel ranked second among Chinese steel enterprises, in 41st place in the list of 500 enterprises. Other major Chinese steelmakers WISCO and NISCO were also included in the list of the top 500 Chinese brands for 2012.
