Baogang’s wire rod mill sees record exports in October

On November 6, Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel Co. (Baogang Group) announced that in October this year its wire rod mill produced a total of 62,940 mt of finished steel, with small specifications amounting to 37,009 mt, accounting for 58.8 percent of the total output, and with a rebar output amounting to 6,244 mt, making up 9.9 percent of the total.

In the given month, Baogang Group's wire rod mill exported 47,387 mt of finished steel, accounting for 75.29 percent of its October output and hitting a record monthly high.
